I was born on 16 August 1972 in a small village in Tuscany. 

Ever since I was a child, thanks to my father, I have been steeped in a passion and dedication for this work. In fact, even today I continue to do what he taught me with the same enthusiasm as 40 years ago, and for that reason I consider myself lucky. 

 

I love doing lots of things in life, but the one thing I’m truly passionate about – the real passion, the kind that keeps me awake at night thinking and jotting down notes – is my work.

 

For the past few years, I’ve been teaching my entire team to try and manage without me.

I’ve learnt to delegate a lot, and I have to admit I should have done it sooner. 

These days, I’m surrounded by colleagues who do things exactly as I want them to – and often better than I do – and I really love that.

 

I have lots of goals for the future. 

I’m a very pragmatic person and I don’t give up easily: when tough challenges arise, I always say, ‘We’ll get there’ – with patience and teamwork, we’ll ‘get there’.

 

I don’t look back, but I learn from my mistakes: they’ve become experience. It’s one of the most important legacies I want to leave to my son and my company. Looking ahead, I’d like to see a world with less exploitation and a better quality of life: perhaps one day… “we’ll get there”.
